Arrival in Mongolia and make city tour
Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Begin your adventure with a visit to Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of the city, and the National Museum of Mongolia, where you’ll explore the country’s rich history and culture.
In the evening, enjoy a captivating traditional Mongolian concert showcasing folk music, throat singing, and contortion. Overnight at a hotel*** in Ulaanbaatar.

Kharkhorin (Karakorum): Once the capital of the Mongolian Empire under Ögedei Khan, this site holds significant historical importance.Erdene Zuu Monastery: Visit Mongolia's first Buddhist monastery, constructed in the 16th century using remnants of the ancient capital. Tour its temple grounds, stupas, and artifacts. Cultural Tour: Explore the rich history and architecture of the monastery while learning about its spiritual significance. Overnight in ger camp. Distance:  300 km (~6hours driving).

Drive to Great White Lake (B/L/D)
We will drive to Great White Lake. Travel beside the Chuluut River which has carved a deep canyon into the basalt rocks. This canyon is famous for its rich fishing grounds. Arrive Khorgo Volcano that is an extinct volcano, covered with basalt and lays to the east of Lake Terkhiin. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake formed by a dam of lava flowing from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. Overnight in ger camp. Distance:  150 km (~3hours driving).

Drive to Great White Lake (B/L/D)
We will drive to Great White Lake. Travel beside the Chuluut River which has carved a deep canyon into the basalt rocks. This canyon is famous for its rich fishing grounds. The lake was formed about 5000 years ago and considered one of the oldest lakes in the world and covers 1980 m2, 48 m deep, 30 km long, 5-10 km wide.  Stay in ger camp. Distance:  450 km (~7hours driving).

Khyargas lake is part of the massive Great Lakes Depression. The region does not look ‘pretty’ - it is a semi-arid region. But it is one of the most important wetland regions of Central Asia with the wetlands based on a system of interconnected shallow lakes with wide reed belts within a generally desert steppe. Stay in ger camp. Distance:  300 km (~7hours driving).

Drive to Ulgii via Uureg lake (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive to Ulgii. We will have packed lunch. On the way to Ulgii, we will drive to Uureg lake. This little saline lake, located 100km away from Ulaangom, the capital of Uvs province, is between the Turgen and Tsagaan Shuvuut mountains. The lake stretches over 19.5km for 18km width for 65.5km shoreline length. Stay in a local hotel. (About 250kms -about 5-6 hours driving)

Drive to Ulgii via Uureg lake (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive to Ulgii. We will have packed lunch. On the way to Ulgii, we will drive to Uureg lake. This little saline lake, located 100km away from Ulaangom, the capital of Uvs province, is between the Turgen and Tsagaan Shuvuut mountains. The lake stretches over 19.5km for 18km width for 65.5km shoreline length. Stay in a local hotel. (About 250kms -about 5-6 hours driving)

We will drive to basecamp of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park as we can (if it snows, we can’t drive. We will hike around 7kms on one way). It is a stunning setting with the awe-inspiring massif of high snow-capped peaks. We will reach the 20km long Potanina glacier, which is ice river starts from Altai Tavan Bogd Snow Peaks. Then, we will drive to Khurgan lake about 60kms and stay in local ger on the way to Khurgan and Khoton Lake. (About 100kms- about 5 hours driving)
