Day by day itinerary

Arrival in Mongolia
Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Begin your adventure with a visit to Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of the city, and the National Museum of Mongolia, where you’ll explore the country’s rich history and culture.
In the evening, enjoy a captivating traditional Mongolian concert showcasing folk music, throat singing, and contortion. Overnight at a hotel*** in Ulaanbaatar.

Journey to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) (B/L/D)
Embark on a scenic drive to Tsagaan Suvarga, a striking rock formation carved by millennia of wind erosion. Admire the sheer cliffs, which rise 30 meters high and stretch 100 meters wide, glowing in shades of orange and pink during sunset. Overnight in ger camp. Distance: ~470 km (~7 hours driving).

Explore Yol Valley (Vulture Canyon) (B/L/D)
Travel to Yol Valley, nestled within the towering peaks of the Gurvansaikhan Mountains.
Take a leisurely hike through the canyon, renowned for its dramatic landscapes and occasional patches of ice, even in summer. Visit the local Natural History Museum, featuring fascinating exhibits like petrified trees and a preserved snow leopard. Overnight in ger camp. Distance: ~230 km (~4 hours driving)

Khongor Sand Dunes Adventure (B/L/D)
Journey to the breathtaking Khongor Sand Dunes, known as the "Singing Dunes" for the melodic sounds they produce when the wind blows. Hike to the top of the towering dunes (up to 28 meters high and stretching 180 km long). Optional: Experience a camel ride across the desert (approx. $15 USD/person/hour). Overnight in a ger camp. Distance: ~180 km (~5 hours driving).

Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) and Ongi Temple (B/L/D)
Discover the Flaming Cliffs, famed for their fiery hues and paleontological significance as the site of the first dinosaur egg discovery. Stroll through this historic landscape dotted with saxaul trees and classic desert flora. Continue to Ongi Temple, once one of the largest monastic complexes in southern Mongolia, with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Overnight in a ger camp. Distance: ~300 km (~7 hours driving).

Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu Monastery (B/L/D)
Travel to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire. Visit the Kharkhorin Museum and the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest surviving Buddhist monastery. Overnight in a ger camp. Distance: ~280 km (~6 hours driving).

Khustai National Park (B/L/D)
Head to Khustai National Park, home to the reintroduced Przewalski’s horse (Takhi), a symbol of Mongolian wildlife conservation. Explore the park and spot herds of these majestic wild horses roaming freely. Overnight in a ger camp “Mongol Nomadic Camp”. Distance: ~300 km (~6 hours driving).

Terelj National Park and Chingis Khaan Statue (B/L/D)
Drive to Terelj National Park, renowned for its alpine scenery and unique rock formations like the Turtle Rock.Visit the towering Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue, the largest of its kind in the world. Enjoy a short hike to a hilltop temple for panoramic views of the park. Return to Ulaanbaatar and do shopping. Overnight at a hotel***. Distance: ~270 km (~6 hours driving)
