Arrival in Mongolia
Welcome to Mongolia! Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Begin your adventure with a visit to Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of the city, and the National Museum of Mongolia, where you’ll explore the country’s rich history and culture.
In the evening, enjoy a captivating traditional Mongolian concert showcasing folk music, throat singing, and contortion. Overnight at a hotel*** in Ulaanbaatar.

Journey to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) (B/L/D)
Embark on a scenic drive to Tsagaan Suvarga, a striking rock formation carved by millennia of wind erosion. Admire the sheer cliffs, which rise 30 meters high and stretch 100 meters wide, glowing in shades of orange and pink during sunset. Overnight in ger camp. Distance: ~470 km (~7 hours driving).

Explore Yol Valley (Vulture Canyon) (B/L/D)
Travel to Yol Valley, nestled within the towering peaks of the Gurvansaikhan Mountains.
Take a leisurely hike through the canyon, renowned for its dramatic landscapes and occasional patches of ice, even in summer. Visit the local Natural History Museum, featuring fascinating exhibits like petrified trees and a preserved snow leopard. Overnight in ger camp. Distance: ~230 km (~4 hours driving)

Khongor Sand Dunes Adventure (B/L/D)
Journey to the breathtaking Khongor Sand Dunes, known as the "Singing Dunes" for the melodic sounds they produce when the wind blows. Hike to the top of the towering dunes (up to 28 meters high and stretching 180 km long). Optional: Experience a camel ride across the desert (approx. $15 USD/person/hour). Overnight in a ger camp. Distance: ~180 km (~5 hours driving).

Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) and Ongi temple (B/L/D)
Discover the Flaming Cliffs, famed for their fiery hues and paleontological significance as the site of the first dinosaur egg discovery. Stroll through this historic landscape dotted with saxaul trees and classic desert flora. Then, we will drive to Ongi temple. The monastery, with its temple Damba Darjaalan Sum, was built in the late 18th century to commemorate the first ever visit to Mongolia by a Dalai Lama. The monastery was once the largest monastery in South Mongolia and was used by about 500 monks. It was the only monastery out of nine in the immediate vicinity to survive the Stalinist purges - by becoming a warehouse and shop. The monastery was reopened in 1990 and the current Dalai Lama visited in 1992. Stay in ger camp. (About 300kms- about 7hours driving)

 Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu Monastery (B/L/D)
Travel to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire. Visit the Kharkhorin Museum and the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest surviving Buddhist monastery. Overnight in ger camp. Distance: ~300 km (~6 hours driving).

Orkhon valley (B/L/D)
We will drive to Orkhon valley, registered as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2005, this Orkhon River valley is known as the cradle of the Mongolian civilization holding many of Mongolia’s ancient monuments lie within its basin. And there is Orkhon Waterfall that marks the halfway point of the Orkhon River, Mongolia’s longest river that runs about 1120kms to the north before it joins the mighty Selenge River. The waterfall, also called Ulaan Tsutgalan was formed by a series of volcanic eruptions about 20.000 years ago. It cascades from the height of 22 metres and is 10m wide. Stay in ger camp. Distance: ~300 km (~7 hours driving).

Drive to Tsetserleg town (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive to Tsetserleg town which is the central town of the Arkhangai province. We will explore the town.  Stay in a local hotel. About 170km-about 4hours driving

Great White Lake and Khorgo Volcano Mountain (B/L/D)
Travel beside the Chuluut River which has carved a deep canyon into the basalt rocks. This canyon is famous for its rich fishing grounds. Arrive Khorgo Volcano that is an extinct volcano, covered with basalt and lays to the east of Lake Terkhiin. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake formed by a dam of lava flowing from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. Overnight in ger ger camp. Distance: ~150 km (~3 hours driving).

Shine Ider, zuun Nuur Salt Lake (B/L/D)
Travel to Shine-Ider province across rolling steppes and saltwater lake which is a haven for birds. Overnight in ger camp “Ulziit Khishig” Distance: ~280 km (~6-7 hours driving).

Khuvsgul lake (B/L/D)
Today we will drive to Khuvsgul Lake, close to the Siberian border. Here you have the opportunity to truly understand the Mongolian way of life. Lake Khuvsgul is the second largest freshwater lake in the world, after Lake Baikal so be prepared to be impressed. Overnight in ger camp Distance: ~230 km (~5hours driving).

Leisure day in the Khuvsgul lake (B/L/D)
Free day to explore the area. We will make some hiking and see some reindeer. Stay in same ger camp

Uran togoo volcano (B/L/D)
We will drive to spectacular area of extinct volcanoes covered in coniferous woods. This extinct volcano has spectacular red rock formations and is surrounded by coniferous woods and wild flowers. There is an opportunity to trek on the volcano. Overnight in local hotel at Bulgan town Distance: ~400 km (~7hours driving).

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar (B/L)
After breakfast we drive back to Ulaanbaatar and have free afternoon. Stay in hotel*** Distance: ~500 km (~8hours driving).
